I received a free ARC copy of Island of Love series and am giving a honest review.Wow! I don't know where to start but I know I can finally start breathing again. Even though the story ends on a happily ever after, I wasn't sure I would make it. This story has kept me on the edge of my seat. I didn't talk to anyone until I finished the story. It is so, so good.Pitt Zycan is a billionaire rancher who lost his father recently and is still missing him. The ranch is owned by his Gramps and his parents built a home on the land too. He lives with his mother and two of his three sisters. They work the ranch with the help of just a few ranch hands.Galen Dunne, who we met in book 1, was his father's partner. They made billions together and is still close with the family. He tells Pitt to come to Paradise resort to heal.At the resort he meets Kaylee Simpson, a bartender. She left Austin to escape the grind and find a career. It is electric when Kaylee and Pitt look at each other. She however has never even kissed a man, she is waiting for her true love. This couple start as friends but Pitt wants more. Slowly Kaylee begins to trust him but says they are friends. Pitt is a down home boy. He doesn't want people waiting on him, he likes to work hard and wants to do things for himself. Where he is normally told he doesn't talk enough, Pitt finds himself easily talking with Kaylee. Together they do simple, playful things. This endears Pitt to Kaylee and us. Together Kaylee comes out if her shell and he feels happiness again. You would think this is where the stories ends, but Nooo. Here's where the story picks up speed. This couple is hot together. They can be both crazy and sweet. Things do not go smoothly for the couple, not by s long shot. I won't go into details but the story twists and then, when you're think everything is good, it twists again. I just kept saying to myself, 'No Way!'This is book two and we do see some familiar characters from book one. Galen is now crazy in love with the maid we met in book one. Nothing is really confusing if you don't read the books in order but for your enjoyment DO read them.
