The forth book in the Night Storm series, Her Intense Protector, was every bit as captivating as the previous books. I just plain love the characters that Caitlyn O'Leary creates. What a diverse group. The men are over protective to the point of being cavemen at times, yet they have ver distinctive personalities. The women are seemingly fearless, smart and feisty. The couples have great chemistry. I have to say that Ms O'Leary gave Ezio Stark on of the best and funniest lines I've ever read..."he's so dumb he has get naked to count to 21." I laughed until I had tears.They say no good deed goes unpunished and that certainly is the case for Samantha Brooks. In trying to help out a friend she ends up in a seedy part of town, playing in what's probably an illegal poker game and being threatened by a couple of gun toting goons. To say that when Ezio is furious when he discovers her over-the-top escapade would be putting it mildly. Once he rescues her, he has the perfect excuse to keep her close. He wants more but the timing has to be right. Samantha wants more too but convincing the gorgeous SEAL that she's over her ex and not on the rebound is going to take some work. Despite his warnings that she's not completely safe yet, samantha doesn't follow his admonishments and once again lands in a deadly circumstance. The Night Storm team is relentless in their efforts to find and save her.
