This was a friend's to lovers/rock star story and despite this being a trope it managed to pull off feeling original and standing out.The characters are interesting and 3 dimensional. They felt like fleshed out people. Their relationship was cute, sweet and frustrating (in a good way). The steamy scenes were unique and well written.One thing I loved is the author really takes their time and gives you a lot of their story. It spans over a decent amount of time, both the lead up but also once they are together we are treated to a significant amount of time seeing them together and happy. Most romance novels tend to wrap up pretty quick once they get their happy ending. This one lingered a little. In a good way.Also side note, I liked that the main female character was biracial and tall and fun. Most main female characters fall into three categories blond, brunette, red headed, most are tiny or short, and many are innocent/passive/shy/submissive etc ...Nothing wrong with that but it's refreshing to get a female character that is different.I look forward to reading more books by this author.
