We all know that I am a huge age gap romance place so I was crazy excited for Inevitable. This is a best friends daughter/workplace/age gap romance that was filled with fun (the WAP references), steam (Jonathan and Sumner were ???), heartache, guilt, strength and love.First off, let’s talk about Sumner. Another kick-ass female character from Jenna. Summer may have been young but she was brilliant, tough and watching her come into her confidence and strength was amazing. She grew to know what she deserved and wouldn’t settle for less. She wouldn’t let anyone (Jonathan or her father) dismiss her because of her age.Jonathan Wolfe was a complex character. A man who get such guilt at wanting his best friends younger daughter but couldn’t co from his feelings for her. He was also a man who despite wealth and success was not happy and fulfilled. He had to realize what true happiness meant and I loved that Sumner was the one who taught him that. The steam in this book is as hot and passionate as you may hope and expect. Jonathan and Sumner were complete fire. The taboo of the relationship added to it but I also loved that while Sumner was young she owned her sexuality 100%. She wasn’t not some timid young girl and in fact may have taught Jonathan a few things.Overall, this story was fun, sweet, angsty, passionate and also had a lot of feels. Their relationship wasn’t easy and their fight for the ending they wanted was pretty rough as they dealt with the fall out of their relationship but also with each other as they struggled with what they were to each other. But their HEA brought a few tears to my eyes. It’s a MUST read book and I would highly recommend.
