I enjoy reading about books set in the South and this one was no different. This is an engaging story with a friendship to lover trope and the characters are well developed, likable, and authentically Southern. The author did a nice job with the storytelling aspect, and I was able to effortlessly use my imagination to picture the main characters, secondary characters, and the town. There were a few editing issues and in certain parts, such as one of the intimacy scenes, there's a bit more telling than showing. But overall, this is a pleasant read and was well done.
